JESUS MOVIE
JESUS COMIC
JESUS MUSIC
...That's what the public tends to call anything with an overtly Christian blush to its complexion. A Jesus whatever.
So would a blog written by a Christian be a
JESUS BLOG?
Yeah, probably.
But only if the blog were obviously Christian. The interesting thing is, I'm not sure that most people on Xanga know that I am a Christian. I don't hide it, but I don't blog about it, if you know what I mean.
I believe that I'm a testimony to who a Christian is when I don't swear in my entries, or post risque photos, or gossip. I also don't blog about being Christian, though... because to be honest, I'm not sure what I would say about it.
I hope that doesn't make me sound worldy. Maybe it's just that to me, spiritual matters are very personal. Very. I pray in my "closet", i.e. my head. When I commune with God, I do it in my head. My relationship with Christ is an internal one... a private, quiet thing.
But I bet that at least a few of my xangafriends who do know I'm a Christian believe that I am a religious fruitcake nutjob. Hahaha.
They are, of course, too polite to say so.
In the end, I don't know what this new blog of mine is going to be like. I, after all, haven't changed. I still can't think of anything spiritual to blog about.
But all blogs grow. Your first entry and your fiftieth don't have to look alike at all. Who knows what this blog will look like in a week's time... or anyone else's brand-new blog on Revelife.
All I know is that if people start referring to this as the
JESUS SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE,
that will be a real mouthful, but a title we can be proud of.
