  • "Jesus Blog"

    JESUS MOVIE

    JESUS COMIC

    JESUS MUSIC

...That's what the public tends to call anything with an overtly Christian blush to its complexion. A Jesus whatever.

So would a blog written by a Christian be a

    JESUS BLOG?

    Yeah, probably.

But only if the blog were obviously Christian. The interesting thing is, I'm not sure that most people on Xanga know that I am a Christian. I don't hide it, but I don't blog about it, if you know what I mean.

I believe that I'm a testimony to who a Christian is when I don't swear in my entries, or post risque photos, or gossip. I also don't blog about being Christian, though... because to be honest, I'm not sure what I would say about it.

I hope that doesn't make me sound worldy. Maybe it's just that to me, spiritual matters are very personal. Very. I pray in my "closet", i.e. my head. When I commune with God, I do it in my head. My relationship with Christ is an internal one... a private, quiet thing.

But I bet that at least a few of my xangafriends who do know I'm a Christian believe that I am a religious fruitcake nutjob. Hahaha.

They are, of course, too polite to say so.

In the end, I don't know what this new blog of mine is going to be like. I, after all, haven't changed. I still can't think of anything spiritual to blog about.

But all blogs grow. Your first entry and your fiftieth don't have to look alike at all. Who knows what this blog will look like in a week's time... or anyone else's brand-new blog on Revelife.

All I know is that if people start referring to this as the

    JESUS SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE,

that will be a real mouthful, but a title we can be proud of.

I would say...let it hang out and speak your mind and don't care what other's think, your blog is that, your thoughts hurled out into cyberspace to be recorded for future review and see how much you've changed.

I didn't know you were a Christian and I work with da Feds! JK.

Yeah, I'm not real sure what I'm going to do here; I've got three post ideas, but that isn't going to last very long...

    hmm....JSNS....needs a vowel....JASNS? lol

    I feel you...

    Hey FullMetalBunny!

It was neat to find out your a Christian. =) I've visited your xanga several times before and I like you weren't exactly advertising my faith(although I'm a member of my church blogring). I don't think my revelife will be strictly all about my faith but it's great that I feel comfortable blogging about it here whereas for some reason I couldn't really do that on my xanga.

What I look forward to the most on revelife is the feedback and encouragement from fellow Christians. Also, to read about what other people are struggling with inside. Sometimes on xanga we all look like we're doing so well and just blog about the superficial. At least that was the case for me.

I'm really excited about this site and so glad you joined! I can already feel the sense of community starting at our fledgling site. =)

I've read this 4 days ago but didn't have the time to comment.

I didn't know you were a Christian but the moment I read your blog in Xanga was the time I felt your hidden faith. I do hope this community would grow. As for now, I can't update my own blog. Oh well. Good day. ^_^
